Research has shown that people in the legal divorce process have differing attitudes towards their divorce.  The following question invites you to consider where you are personally in your attitude towards getting divorced.

Here are four types of attitudes found in research on divorcing couples. Please read all four and then check which one best fits you at this time.

ATTITUDE #1

I’m done with this marriage; it’s too late now even if my spouse were to make major changes.
Choose Attitude #1

ATTITUDE #2

I have mixed feelings about the divorce; sometimes I think it’s a good idea and sometimes I’m not sure.
Choose Attitude #2

ATTITUDE #3

I would consider reconciling if my spouse got serious about making major changes.
Choose Attitude #3

ATTITUDE #4

I don’t want this divorce, and I would work hard to get us back together.
Choose Attitude #4
